A major police operation took place this Friday in the Brussels Region. This action comes following the interception, by the intervention teams of the Montgomery police zone, in November 2022, of several information on the sale of narcotics.

After several months of investigation, a substantial network was discovered and an investigating judge was seized. It is within the framework of this investigation that several searches were carried out this Friday. During the seven searches, four suspects were intercepted.

In a press release, the police report the elements discovered (50 kilos of cannabis resin, 500 grams of marihuana, 1 kg of cocaine, 26,000 euros, a ready-to-use firearm, 4 cars, etc.).

“The 4 suspects were made available to the Investigating Judge in Brussels. A 5th suspect presented himself to the police the next day and was also made available to the investigating judge. A person has been placed under arrest warrant for selling narcotics. She denies any involvement in the facts. Two other people were released on conditions following being charged with selling narcotics (one denies and the other admits the facts). One person has not been charged and the 5th has been charged with possession of narcotics,” the police concluded in their communication.
