The National Social Security Administration reported that, due to the increase in the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Wage (SMVM), more than 1,400,000 retirees and pensioners will charge from August 7 to 11 two supplements: he first of 15 thousand pesos corresponding to July and second of 21 thousand pesos for august.

To these supplements will be added the reinforcement of 20 thousand pesos that the pension agency will pay to retirees of the minimum with the usual payment schedule.

To whom the supplement of $15,000 corresponds in August

It should be remembered that these supplements of 36 thousand pesos are not for the entire universe of retirees and pensioners, but two key requirements must be met, namely:

  1. Have 30 years or more of effective contributions: that is, having made contributions to the pension system for at least 30 years.
  2. Not having a moratorium or payment plan to cancel years of contributions: Those retirees who have met their contributions without resorting to special payment plans will be eligible to receive the supplements.

In this way, a retiree or pensioner who receives the minimum salary, with 30 years or more of effective contributions, without moratorium or payment plan to cancel years of contributions, will receive in August 127,822 weights (to have + the reinforcement of ANSES + supplements by SMVM).

The payment schedule for these two supplements (July and August) is made up as follows:

How much did the Minimum Wage increase and what will the payments be like?

The last meeting of the Council dates back to March 21, when an increase in the amount of the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Salary (SMVyM) was agreed, which would take it to 80,342 pesos from April 1. The increase was 15.6%, then rose another 6% in May ($84,512) and 5% in June ($87,987).

With the previous increases, the SMVyM reached a 42% increase in the first semesterin the face of inflation that stood at 50,7% in the same period, according to what was reported in the last hours by the INDEC. In this way, the minimum income yielded a loss of 8.7% in the first six months of 2023.
