Czech striker and also former Montreal Canadiens color holder Michael Frolik will continue his career with his hometown team in Czechia, the Kladno Knights.

This roster is owned by Czech hockey icon Jaromir Jagr. Frolik was Jagr’s teammate with the Calgary Flames in the 2017-18 season.

Frolik had also worn the colors of this team from 2004 to 2006.

The Florida Panthers’ 2010 first-round pick played 858 games in 13 seasons in the National Hockey League. The former Rimouski Océanic amassed 384 points, or 159 goals and 225 assists.

The 35-year-old skater has worn the colors of six other teams during his time on the Bettman circuit. These are the Florida Panthers, Chicago Blackhawks, Winnipeg Jets, Calgary Flames, Buffalo Sabers and Montreal Canadiens. His stay with the Habs in 2020-2021 was not fruitful. He was cleared from the scoresheet in the eight games he played in uniform.

The Kladno team also announced in recent days the return of captain Tomas Plekanec for a second season in a row.
