NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Marcel Ruiz scored twice and Toluca advanced to the Leagues Cup with a comeback to beat Nashville 4-3 on Thursday.

Walter Zimmerman put the locals in front following three minutes, but Ruiz scored his goals at 27 and 44 for the Red Devils. In addition, the Brazilian goalkeeper Tiago Volpi converted a penalty at 45 minutes and the Paraguayan Robert Morales sealed the account at 61 minutes.

Fafá Picault at 37 and Luke Haakeson at 70 scored the other two goals for Nashville.

With the result, Toluca took first place in Group 4 of the West Zone and needs only a draw once morest Colorado on Monday to secure the top spot.

Colorado requires a win by a landslide to leave out the Toluqueño team.

The MLS teams provisionally lost their advantage over the Liga MX in their clashes in this tournament. Now each country has had six wins. In addition, three matches have ended tied.
