Emirates Health Services Corporation Signs Cooperation Agreement with AIG Hospitals in India for Medical Advancements and Expertise Exchange

DUBAI, 25th July, 2020 (WAM) — The Emirates Health Services Corporation has signed a joint cooperation agreement with AIG Hospitals in India, with the aim of enhancing work between the two sides in a number of medical, scientific and research fields, in addition to the visiting doctors program, which contributes to the exchange of expertise and experiences and raises the capabilities and efficiency of the work of the medical staff of both parties.

The agreement was signed in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Yousef Mohamed Al Serkal, Director General of the Emirates Health Services Corporation, His Excellency Dr. Essam Al Zarouni, Acting Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector, Dr. Givi Rao, Director General of AIG Hospitals, and a number of administrative and medical cadres from both sides.

Dr. Essam Al Zarooni stated that the agreement identified a set of areas of cooperation that both sides seek to move forward in developing and upgrading, explaining that the Foundation seeks, within the framework of its strategy aimed at expanding the scope of strategic partnerships, to enhance the exchange of expertise and experiences, to dedicate its position as one of the most prominent pioneers in providing the best health practices in accordance with the highest international standards, in line with We Are the Emirates 2030 vision and the UAE 2071 vision aimed at preparing a generation that carries the flag of the future and enjoys the highest scientific and positive levels to ensure the achievement of a healthy quality of life. Securing a better future for future generations and raising the country’s status to compete with the best countries in the world.

The agreement defines the scope and areas of cooperation in the medical field, through cooperation in the field of clinical services of common interest, providing support in developing an integrated program for comprehensive health care, and providing AIG hospitals with their technologies to enhance clinical management of patients.

In the scientific field, the agreement included discussing ways of cooperation in residency and fellowship programs for Emirati doctors, through mutual cooperation to train doctors and assisting health personnel, in addition to providing clinical training programs for elective subjects and focusing on developing leadership programs in the health field.

The agreement sets frameworks for cooperation in the research field through the development of research infrastructure, research innovation programs and joint research initiatives in the field of surgical gastroenterology in order to provide better health care for patients.

It was also agreed to cooperate in the visiting doctors program by providing IIG hospitals with doctors from all available sub-specialties who will provide clinical and educational services in the Foundation’s hospitals, in addition to the clinical visits that include consultations, clinical assessments, follow-up of the treatment plan for patients, medical study lectures, conferences, teaching and clinical education, including inpatients and outpatients.
