Operating surplus and profit soar

The operating surplus soared to 151.5 million, once morest a disbursement of 25.5 million, weighed down last year by the abandonment of activity in Russia and the closure of two subsidiaries in Poland. Profit jumped to 104.3 million following a loss of 48.8 million a year earlier. The results clearly exceed the consensus of the analysts consulted by AWP.

For the rest of the year, Sulzer is raising its ambitions, expecting organic growth in order intake of 10 to 14% (3 to 6% previously), sales growth of 11 to 13% (7 to 9%) and operating profitability around 11% of sales (over 10%).
