No winter sports couple was more successful in their active days than Ole Einar Björndalen and Darja Domratschewa. The two are looking forward to having offspring.
Munich – baby ecstasy – and that for the second time! The biathlon dream couple Ole Einar Björndalen and Darja Domratschewa are expecting their second child. The Belarusian posted a photo with a onesie and two of the couple’s hands forming a heart. “Another miracle in our family,” she writes happily.

The onesie says “little sister”. This would also clarify the gender of the child. The couple, who have been married since 2016, have not yet been able to agree on a name. “This is difficult. We’ll have to use the next few days to come up with one. We have many options, ”explained Björndalen on Norwegian broadcaster TV2.
“We are very happy,” says the eight-time Olympic biathlon champion. He already has a child with Domratschewa: daughter Xenia was born in 2016. The firstborn (6) is looking forward to becoming a big sister soon, Domracheva told TV2. Everything has gone according to plan so far.

In 2018, Björndalen and Domratschewa resigned together. They are the most successful winter sports couple of all time – the home trophy cabinet is likely to be bursting at the seams. Together they have twelve Olympic victories, 125 individual World Cup victories, seven overall World Cup victories and a total of 52 World Championship medals.
In the meantime, the two worked as a national biathlon coach in China, and Björndalen has appeared as a TV expert on Norwegian television in recent years.
