“Love stories”: “The new love can be a man or a woman”

Nina Horowitz accompanies an illustrious singles group on the search for great happiness in love on Monday evening in the new edition of the ORF dome broadcast. The three women and three men between the ages of 27 and 77 come from Lower Austria, Vienna, Styria and Vorarlberg.

Comes from Austria’s westernmost province Brit, the show’s oldest contestant to have lived a freaky life – one of her many hobbies was acting as the double of the recently deceased pop icon Tina Turner. The new man at her side should be just as colorful as she is. “I’m unique and definitely a conspicuous person. I never wanted to be bourgeois and always wanted to have a freaky life,” says the retired dental technician.

Brit, 77, a retired dental technician from Vorarlberg, has an interesting biography: “My mother is from Vorarlberg. And my father is Moroccan. My father was a French soldier of Moroccan descent. Vorarlberg was a French occupation zone in 1945. That’s why he was there.” But love had a fast expiry date and Brit never got to know him. The candidate loves to wear colorful clothes, but her hair also shimmers in a variety of colors. “I’m unique and quite a flashy person. I never wanted to be bourgeois and always had a freaky life.”

The youngest single of the third episode is the Wiener Michael, who is currently writing a superhero novel and has two extremely different role models in Thomas Brezina and Franz Kafka. In love, too, he is basically open in all directions: “The new love can be a man or a woman, the person should be self-confident and independent. But also funny and easy-going,” Michael lists his heart’s desires. When it comes to men, the 27-year-old prefers a feminine, elfin type, and when it comes to women, he is drawn to the Amazon style: tall, broad and muscular.

Michael, 27-year-old author and warehouse worker from Vienna, wants an inspiring relationship. “The new love can be a man or a woman, the person should be self-confident and independent. But also funny and easy-going,” Michael lists his heart’s desires. The 27-year-old realized he was bisexual at the age of 22. “At first it was a surprise and a shock and I wanted to suppress it.” The single man is now very open regarding his bisexuality.
