The Oppo Reno 8 Lite smartphone goes below 250 € at Carrefour i.e. a drop of regarding 22% on the price usually observed.
With the Reno 8 Lite, Oppo is trying to offer an affordable smartphone, in line with the rest of its range. A device which, however, faces particularly effective competition in this price segment.
The Oppo Reno 8 Lite is a rather convincing smartphone, which knows how to take advantage of its SoC very well and which offers excellent autonomy. But at the proposed price, it has a more modest technical sheet than the competition. We particularly regret the absence of IP certification, a single usable photo sensor or a screen refresh rate blocked at 60 Hz. Shortcomings that are beginning to be felt for a device in its category. It is therefore aimed at people who give priority to performance and endurance.

Excellent autonomy. Well optimized SoC. 3.5 mm mini-jack and microSD port.

Screen stuck at 60 Hz. No waterproof certification. Slow charging. Rather limited in photography.

An alternative
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is a good smartphone, which benefits from a very nice Oled screen and boasts excellent autonomy. We would certainly have liked this move upmarket to result in the choice of a more ambitious SoC, but the latter turns out to be rather well optimized. The increase in price, on the other hand, places it in competition with rather talented smartphones, especially in photos. Its strong resemblance to the less expensive Poco X4 Pro, however, does not make it the best value for money on the market today.
