Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan highly praised the new generation in the Indian team. Shikhar Dhawan says that he has great respect for the ideas put forward by the new players in the Indian team. Dhawan says that even though he has been in international cricket for the past 13 years, he continues to search for new knowledge and developments. Shikhar Dhawan also said that there has been a big change in the performance of the players on the field and their observation over time. Shikhar Dhawan believes that the new generation of players are quick to adapt to the changes in cricket.

“The only thing constant in one’s life is change. We have to learn and be ready to adapt with the times. It’s amazing how fast the new generation of players are figuring out their strategies and thinking. I have been playing cricket for quite some time now. But I inspire a lot when new players bring new shots to cricket. And I ask them how do you play such shots.”- says Shikhar Dhawan.

“Thus once I learned to play a shot from Suryakumar Yadav. I asked Surya – how do you play these shots? At that time Surya’s answer was that this is very easy. This is what I said – henceforth I am going to play these kinds of shots. I also want to do big experiments like this,” added Dhawan.

“Cricket is changing vastly day by day. When we first started playing, the coaches did not help us like this. So we grew up with a different mindset. But now the way young players are approaching cricket is very different,” says Shikhar Dhawan.
