The airline company ITA Airways released photos of the painting of his first Airbus A220-300 in blue liverythe four put into service out of 15 expected having all been painted in white.
While its first Canadian-designed single-aisle aircraft were white (delivered “Born to be sustainable”), the Italian national company published on July 12, 2023 images of its fifth copy coated in blue : the registered A220-300 NON-HHM will be christened “Alessandro Mazzola” (the European champion football player with the Italian national team in 1968), and will welcome like the other 145 passengers in one class. But it will also be the first to benefit from new interiors by Walter da Silva.
No delivery date has been advanced for this aircraft by ITA Airways, but its entry into service is scheduled “in September”.
Remember that the alliance company SkyTeam also waiting for new A220-100 125 seats, a priori from next October; all ex-CSeries should have joined its fleet by 2025.
