The Oman Across Ages Museum is the largest museum in the region, showcasing the Sultanate’s various phases of history, cultural and geographical diversity.
12,150 non-Omani visitors and 67,350 Omani nationals have already arrived. Officials said the museum’s ability to attract a wide variety of people has brought so many people in such a short time. The museum, which opens the door to the history of various periods of Oman, is located in Mana Wilayat, Dakhiliya Governorate. It was dedicated to the country by Sultan Haitham bin Tariq on March 13.
The sights are prepared for the visitors, starting with the first settlers in prehistoric times and going through the features of modern Oman. The ‘Renaissance Gallery’ showcases the country’s long history of remarkable economic, technological, political and social modernization activities under the late Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed.
