While the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be unveiled on July 26, Samsung shared a video on Twitter showing one of the highlights of its new design.

While Samsung should present its new folding smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, next week, the Korean manufacturer has confirmed one of the main rumors regarding them.
In a video posted this Friday on Twitter, Samsung has indeed unveiled, in profile, the design of its Galaxy Z Flip 5. Admittedly, these are only profile shots, not allowing to discover in particular the external screen or the photo module, but the video nevertheless allows you to see the silhouette of the smartphone, both unfolded and folded.

It is precisely in the folded frame that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 should be interesting. Indeed, while previous generations of Samsung smartphones did not allow the device to be folded completely – there was a space between the two parts, in particular at the level of the fold – it seems that this will indeed be the case on the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

To do this, some rumors in recent months have suggested Samsung’s adoption of a teardrop-shaped folding design, allowing the screen to bend over itself when folded so as not to crease. It would also allow the two parts of the phone to be completely aligned with each other. It was already the design chosen by Oppo for its Find N2 Flip released earlier this year.
A smartphone that will fit easily in your pocket
In addition, once the smartphones are unfolded in the video, they display different formats more or less folded. In particular, they can be seen taking the form of a jacket pocket. What suggest that the smartphone can easily fit in a pocket, including small format. Remember that this is one of the main attractions of the Galaxy Z Flip range: smartphones once unfolded have the size of a conventional telephone, but, once folded, can fit more easily into a pocket.
As a reminder, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 should be officially presented on Wednesday, July 26 at 1 p.m., during Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked conference. It will be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.
