Dinosaurs in augmented reality. That is the innovative proposal that Villa El Chocón proposes from now on to its visitors. The local government is strongly committed to enhancing the cultural and paleontological capital of the town. First with the visit of the lawyer Fernando Burlando and his partner Barby Franco, who sponsored the local museum and now with the use of technology that will allow tourists to take unique records at various points of interest in the town.

the walk of “Tell us in augmented reality” arose as a project at a local work table and had limited contributions from the Ministry of Tourismfor the installation of signage necessary for the virtual experience.

In total there will be 6 QR codes installed that will allow visitors to take images that mix the first person context and the projection of emblematic dinosaurs found in the village. Although for now only the world-renowned Giganotosaurus Carolini will be available. In this way the final result will be the mixture of the real and the virtual.

“It is something unique in the world,” says the media panelist lawyer who a few days ago in dialogue with BLACK RIVER Journal described the love he has for El Chocón. “I plan to go back all my life,” she said at the time.

The codes will be visible on three posters installed in the town, two on Paseo de las Huellas and one in Plaza de las Infancias. In these large and small locations they will be able to play taking photos and filming themselves in a free experience and within everyone’s reach.

As reported to this outlet, the proposal seeks to generate “displacement” of the tourist through the different panoramic points of the town, which will be able to visit the cinematographic beauties of El Chocón while looking to register the best photo. The initiative intends to provide multimedia content to users so that they spread it in their networks and position the town as a value-added tourist spot.

The lawyer Fernando Burlando appears in the promotional video of the virtual tour.

The project is open to improvements and improvements in the short term to improve the user-service relationship, but it promises to be a “must” activity to do from now on, every time you visit El Chocón.

Although the first installment lacks sound, the images have good definition and dynamism in their movements. “It is possible to approach the dinosaur, turn around and see it in 360, You can see their movements, the roughness of the skin… It has a lot of detail, “they told the local government.

Visitors will be able to check in alongside the Giganotosaurus Carolini in augmented reality.
