While inflation is rising in Germany and is in recession, it’s falling in Austria – and we’re also seeing economic growth
Vienna (OTS) – “Just talking big doesn’t help the population,” replies the General Secretary of the People’s Party, Christian Stocker, to Herbert Kickl’s verbal attack on Chancellor Karl Nehammer, and further: “Kickl is a master of suppression, because otherwise he would see what the federal government under Chancellor Karl Nehammer has done in addition to overcoming the multiple crises. The most recent success is the preservation of economic power in the country, with the short, medium, and long-term anti-inflation measures we have not only maintained purchasing power and mass unemployment – as the blue chairman likes to talk regarding so often – but also reduced inflation bit by bit by several percent. Meanwhile, inflation in Germany is rising and in recession. So the comparison makes you safe.”
“In addition, our Chancellor, with Interior Minister Karner, has achieved what Kickl failed to do during his term in office: to sustainably reduce the number of asylum seekers in basic care. It was Karl Nehammer who initiated important agreements to reduce the number of asylum seekers. And we see: the asylum brake works. We also have Karl Nehammer to thank for the fact that the EU has stepped up a gear on the issue of asylum and has already presented solutions. We have our Federal Chancellor to thank for the fact that our relatively small country is heard and respected,” Stocker concluded.
