Imagine that you sell cars, but to open the hood you have to pay more. This is, to simplify, what Microsoft was accused of. While a cyberattack recently targeted its messaging services, the Redmond firm has just announced that it will no longer charge for some of its cybersecurity tools.

Starting in September, customers of its cloud services will be able to view critical security logs free of charge, previously accessible only for an additional fee. A security log is a medium in which all the events of a computer system or an application are recorded, which makes it an essential tool for detection and investigation in the event of an incident.
