Hoyos: “When will the People’s Party finally learn that the citizens’ tax money is not their personal basket money?”
Vienna (OTS) – “Once once more, the Court of Auditors reports irregularities in the donations listed in the ÖVP statement of accounts. Again in connection with an election campaign. When will the People’s Party finally learn that the citizens’ tax money is not their personal basket money?” asks NEOS Secretary General and Chairman of the Audit Committee Douglas Hoyos, who calls on the ÖVP to quickly provide clarification.
Nobody might clear up the complaints of the Court of Auditors faster than the former Secretary General and current ÖVP boss, nobody has more obligation to do so than Nehammer, according to Hoyos: “A chancellor party that is regularly suspected of not strictly complying with financial rules is increasingly damaging people’s trust in politics. The ÖVP must finally disclose its finances in a timely and clean manner, just as we at NEOS have been doing since our foundation: we are the only party to live ruthless transparency 365 days a year.”
