The Nokia G60 is one of the Finnish intermediaries that bet on a good cost-benefit for the category, with a configuration that does not disappoint in general terms. On the other hand, the Galaxy A34 seeks to bring an affordable set and more advanced features than the segment it represents.
Between the intermediary Nokia and Samsung, which smartphone delivers more to the user? That’s what we’re going to find out now in this Comparative, here at TudoCelular.

design and connectivity
Nokia G60
We started with the design with two looks similar to other models from each brand. We’re mainly talking regarding the oval camera block on the G60 and the individually placed lenses on the A34. The Nokia weighs less and is the less wide of the pair, while the Galaxy has smaller dimensions in terms of height and thickness.
Their construction features plastic composition both on the sides and on the back. The difference is that the Finnish one brings recyclable materials, with small dots on the lid. The Korean one comes with a matte finish. This one also stands out for its IP67 certification, for resistance once morest dust and water greater than the rival’s IP52.
Samsung Galaxy A34
The two manufacturers opted for a drop-shaped notch. HMD preferred to insert a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button, and Samsung opted for the most modern biometric sensor under the screen.
The duo contains a hybrid drawer, which divides the second carrier chip slot with the space for a microSD card. The G60 is the only one with sixth-generation Wi-Fi, but the A34’s Bluetooth 5.3 is above the competitor’s 5.1 version. At least, NFC is present in them, to guarantee contactless payments.
The Galaxy opens the scoring by superior resistance.

Both have a screen of approximately 6.6 inches, with Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which ensures good fluidity for system animations. Gorilla Glass 5 also appears on both, to ensure extra protection once morest scratches.
What will differentiate the duo is the type of display used. Nokia brings an IPS LCD panel, which does not reach the same level of brightness and wide viewing angle that the Super AMOLED of the Galaxy delivers.
The Korean is still the one that provides the best frontal use, thanks to the slightly smaller bezels. But don’t expect HDR support from them to improve playback from streaming services.
It’s one more point for the A34.

As
Nokia saved on audio and put only a mono sound output on this intermediary. Samsung has already inserted a stereo system, by taking advantage of the call speaker as a secondary channel, to increase the immersive user experience.
As a result, the Galaxy provides greater sound power than the G60, as well as superior quality, as it has a better balance between bass, mids and highs. At least, the Finnish one is the only one with a physical connector in the P2 standard, in addition to coming with a headset in the package.
Stereo sound gives the point to the A34.

System
Nokia comes out of the box with native Android 12, once morest version 13 of the “little robot” pre-installed on the Galaxy. Nokia can even promise three software updates, but it will still have a shelf life well below the four updates guaranteed by Samsung for this cell phone.
These devices offer great fluidity, not only because of their high panel rate, but also because of their clean Finnish interface and their Korean One UI optimizations. 5G is also present in them, which allows an always fast mobile network.
The G60 software is not packed with features and only delivers what is seen by default on Android. The A34 stands out for its Edge Screen shortcuts, the Always-on Display and the other customizations available here.
Samsung scores one more point.

Performance
Nokia is powered by Snapdragon 695 platform, once morest Galaxy’s Dimensity 1080. In this battle for the best performance and with the same 6 GB of RAM, which one is the fastest? Our tests indicated an advantage of around 10 seconds for the G60, mainly thanks to its efficiency in holding more apps open in the background.
The benchmarks already point to another scenario, with a victory for the A34 in both Geekbench and AnTuTu. In games, we see a slightly superior performance of the Finnish model, as it runs the heaviest titles in higher quality and does not suffer as much from heating as the Korean one.
The Nokia G60 scores this time.

Battery
The Finn equipped a 4,500 mAh battery in its intermediate, smaller than the 5,000 mAh used by the Korean. Does distance in capacity impact practice? We saw that yes. In our standardized tests, the Galaxy scored almost 27 hours of runtime, and the Nokia didn’t reach 23 hours.
Moving on to charging, the G60 uses a 20 W accessory that allows it to reach 100% with 11 minutes less delay than the A34, with its 15 W power adapter. A small difference, close to what we have in their autonomy.
So the point goes to Samsung.

These smartphones come with a triple set of rear cameras. Although the main 50 MP of the G60 takes pictures with good colors, contrast and dynamic range, the 48 MP of the A34 stands out more in these points and in its right HDR, apart from the most efficient night mode to have clear records even in dark places.
The ultrawide of the Galaxy also captures with better sharpness than the Nokia and a color level closer to the main one. The Korean even comes with a macro lens, for good quality images. It just lacked an autofocus. The Finnish trio is completed with a blur sensor, which does not do a job above the rival’s software portrait mode.
Samsung scores once more.

Nokia’s camcorder only reaches Full HD videos, while the Galaxy already advances to 4K resolution. The A34 offers superior quality than the G60 in both recording images and sound capture. He is also the only one of the duo to come with optical stabilization, to better deal with shakes. Out focus more agile than the competitor.
Again, the point goes to the Korean.

Nokia’s front-facing camera is lower in resolution than that found on the Galaxy. The colors of the G60’s selfies are even satisfactory, but it doesn’t reach the same level of detail delivered by the A34. Even the Korean’s night shots suffer less from noise than the Finnish one. To top it all off, Samsung still allows for 4K head-on footage, above the Full HD supported by Nokia.
Once once more, Galaxy takes the point.

Both handsets are now officially available for sale in Brazil. The Nokia G60 arrived at a suggested retail price of R$2,000, a little cheaper than the R$2,300 charged at the launch of the Galaxy A34. In the current market, both can be found cheaper, for something close to R$ 1,400.
In other words, we have a tie in this final item.

Done
In this clash between intermediaries, we saw an absolute dominance of the Korean. The Galaxy A34 is by far the most complete, having a more resistant design, an AMOLED screen, stereo sound, a system with greater longevity and a battery with better autonomy. Not to mention the cameras that record superior rear photos, videos and selfies.
And what remains for the Nokia G60? It has its performance-oriented appeal, as it proved to be faster than the competitor in our tests. In any case, as the two come out for the same value in the national retail, it is not possible to consider that only the multitasking makes the Finnish compensate more than the Samsung cell phone.
RESULT
Nokia G60: 2 POINTS
Better multitasking performance Same price in today’s Brazilian market
Samsung Galaxy A34: 9 POINTS
More resistant design Super AMOLED screen and with greater brightness Stereo sound System with greater longevity and better resources Battery with greater autonomy Rear cameras with better HDR and night photos Videos in 4K and with optical stabilization Front camera with sharper selfies and that shoots in 4K Same price in the current Brazilian market
