How can I make money with potato chips? After storing these potato chips in an airtight bag, he put them up for sale on the online auction site ‘Trade Me’. He posted the story behind his discovery of the chip and that all proceeds from the auction would be donated to Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland.

In an interview with a broadcasting station, he said, “I hope the money will be used for people in need, like my sister who broke her arms twice.”

Potato chips have attracted a lot of attention since the first day of the auction. The bid price went up to 250 New Zealand dollars, and when the auction ended on the 18th, the winning bid reached 5,000 New Zealand dollars (regarding 3.98 million won).

The amazing winning bid didn’t stop there. Afterwards, the successful bidder assumed McPherson’s will and announced that he would pay NZ$10,000, twice the winning price. In addition, a potato chip manufacturer who heard the news offered to add 10,000 New Zealand dollars.
