KUWAIT CITY: Widespread inspection to find expatriate bachelors living in private housing areas in Kuwait. The inspections were conducted under the leadership of the Emergency and Rapid Intervention Team. The inspections were conducted under the supervision of Said Al Nzi, head of the Emergency and Rapid Intervention Team of the Capital Governorate Municipality.
He revealed that 146 buildings in various governorates were found to be in violation of the law and disconnected from electricity. The inspection was aimed at preventing non-resident bachelors from living in private housing areas. Various violations in residences were also checked. A total of 323 warnings were issued by supervisory teams in various governorates citing violations. Al NC said that 218 places were inspected. Inspection is in progress at the rest of the locations. He also highlighted the efforts of the field team in Farwaniya Governorate who conducted an inspection campaign in Khaitan region. During this inspection, violations were found in seven buildings. Out of these, the electricity connection was disconnected in six. Seven buildings have been warned.

67 expatriates who violated residence and employment laws were arrested in a joint inspection conducted by various departments in Kuwait the other day. The violators were caught in a joint investigation conducted by the General Department of Residence Affairs Investigation, Tripartite Joint Committee, Manpower Authority and Department of Follow-up of Violators.
The lightning security campaign was conducted to detect illegal workers in Fahaheel region, Hawalli and Farwania governorates. Those arrested were handed over to the concerned authorities for further legal action.
