This is an opportunity for northerners to visit their Belgian neighbours: Friday July 21, 2023 will be the National Day in Belgium. Here is an overview of the activities planned at the border, for the occasion. Note that this year will mark the 10 years of the reign of King Philippe.
Garden Party in Tournai
In Tournai, it’s “Garden Party” this year! A party that wants to be popular and friendly as you wish, and with free access. In the municipal park (Georges Brassens park), “all the ingredients will be gathered for a successful ‘black-yellow-red’ party”, announces the City. On the program: numerous “made in Belgium” food products offered by local merchants, musical atmosphere and activities organized for families… “A day placed under the sign of Belgianness!” »
Here is the schedule for the day:
11 a.m.: Les Mélodian’s; 12 p.m.: Zumba Party by Virginie Fit Ta Vie; 1 p.m.: Minnesota; 2 p.m.: Fantastic Show (show for children); 4 p.m.: Monokini (pop-retro group); 5.30 p.m.: Tribute to Gall-Berger; 7 p.m.: Zebatuca; 8:30 p.m.: Lady Cover.
Throughout the day, visitors to the park will be able to enjoy wooden games, performances by Magic Morgan (balloon sculptor), a photo area, meetings with Disney characters, a face-painting stand, a merry-go-round and a video game stand. A bar and catering service (food-trucks) is also provided.
Flea market, concerts and entertainment in Mouscron
It’s a whole festive day that is planned in Mouscron, Friday, July 21 for the National Day. The rendezvous is given in the municipal park, with a flea market scheduled from 7 a.m. rue du Val, and concerts and entertainment all day long.
In the program :
On the plain: giant screen and DJ, bouncy castles; On the booth: Gibs Vocaly (from 11:30 a.m.), Ibiza (3 p.m.), Les Dinosaures (6 p.m.), Vincent saw them (8:30 p.m.); On the Central Parc podium: DJ set (from 2 p.m.), “Envole-moi”, a tribute to Jean-Jacques Goldman (6 p.m.), Happy Bouncy Music (8 p.m.).

Typical Belgian dishes, concert and fireworks in Mons
The evening will be 100% Belgian, in Mons for this National Day. On the program for July 21: concerts, bar and restaurant bearing the image of Belgium! You can taste good local dishes, Place du Parc. The festivities will begin at 4 p.m. and end at 1 a.m.

To end the day in style, a fireworks display will be set off around midnight.
