Studying in a metropolis is stimulating for many, because of the academic and cultural variety. Here are the best student cities in the world as ranked by QS Quacquarelli Symonds.
The ranking lists cities with a population of at least 250,000 and at least two universities in the “QS World University Ranking”.
The ranking also takes student reactions and opinions into account, using 100,000 student responses in a survey.
London sits at the top of the list of best student cities.
“London is a global talent magnet that fosters a diverse, progressive and inclusive learning environment,” QS Quacquarelli Symonds CEO Jessica Turner said in a statement. It offers students a unique blend of academic excellence, multicultural vibrancy and a thriving economy.”
Boston is the only city in North America that has managed to carve out a place in the top ten.
Tokyo comes second. The city is followed by Seoul, Melbourne, Munich, Paris, Sydney, Berlin and Zurich.
