The metalcore band “We Blame the Empire” from the Vöcklabruck area is known in the scene for their hard sounds with a mixture of heavy metal and punk. However, the four musicians prove that they also have a soft heart: They are giving away a picture in favor of the Vöcklabruck hospice movement. So far they have already collected more than 1800 euros for it.
The band’s latest song is called “As I Fall”, which deals with dementia and describes the loneliness that sufferers feel even though those around them are still by their side. The accompanying video has more than 75,000 streams. It shows how the tattoo artist Lynn paints a picture. And this picture will now be raffled in favor of the Vöcklabruck hospice movement. The statement on the fundraiser is available below www.betterplace.me.
“For us, this was not only an opportunity to draw attention to the topic of dementia once more, but also to support an organization in our home district,” say frontman Sebastian Penninger and bassist Dominik Bucar.
