Last week furniture store De Prijzenklopper was declared bankrupt. This Tuesday, customers were therefore invited to come and empty the store to take advantage of very interesting offers.
From dawn, dozens of people had therefore gathered in the car park of the sign located in Hechtel-Eksel, in Limburg. The only constraint: the customers had to manage on their own to move the furniture, which sometimes offered comical scenes, as shown the video broadcast by our colleagues from Belang van Limburg.
“A total of 700 lots were available, including 500 sets such as dining rooms or bedrooms,” explained Peter Pepermans of the Troostwijk auction house.
This sale allowed some customers to do good business: “I was able to buy an entire dining room for 1,200 euros, much less than the market price,” Dieter rejoiced with our colleagues. “I don’t know if I got a good deal,” wonders Bart, on the other hand. “We paid 1,750 euros for an armchair which was at -40%, but with the selling costs, it came to more than 2,000 euros. But it’s still better than the price in the store”.
Furniture that has not found a buyer on Tuesday will be transferred to a furniture store, so that a new sale can take place.
