Model Gigi Hadid was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana following flying to the Cayman Islands from the United States last week, US outlet TMZ confirmed.
The 28-year-old model landed in a private jet at Owen Roberts International Airport on July 10 and cleared customs with her luggage. There, Customs and Border Control agents ran their bags through a scanner and searched them by hand, finding a small amount of marijuana and smoking utensils.
Although the amount she and her companion were carrying was determined to be for personal use, both were arrested on charges of importing marijuana and importing cannabis smoking utensils.

TMZ reported that Hadid was arraigned at the Cayman Islands Royal Detention Facility, where she was arranged to be released on $1,000 bail and later released pending prosecution of her case.
