The cost of Brigitte Macron’s activity is estimated at 0.28% of the expenses of the Presidency of the Republic, according to a report by the Court of Auditors taken up by BFMTV.
“The Presidency of the Republic estimates the expenses strictly related to the activity of Mrs. Macron at 315,808 euros”, reveals this report from the Court of Auditors which also indicates that the activity of the First Lady responds to “a regulatory custom”. . An activity that “has no legal or regulatory basis”, specifies the report.
These 315,808 euros represent exactly 0.28% of the budget of the Presidency of the Republic and corresponds to the remuneration of the members of Brigitte Macron’s cabinet.
The latter is made up of two collaborators, also members of the cabinet of the President of the Republic, a full-time assistant for the two advisers and an assistant shared with the memory adviser of the President of the Republic.
In 2021, the expenses related to the activity of Brigitte Macron were 282,454 euros. The Court of Auditors therefore counts an increase of 11.8% in one year which would be explained in particular by the increase in letters received by the First Lady of France.
