Water production and distribution
The production and distribution of water are normally ensured in Wallonia. We observe a decrease in the consumption of mains water compared to the month of June, which was very hot.
“The municipalities of Stoumont and Rochefort have however taken police orders restricting the use of water (measures taken respectively on July 7 and 17, 2023). The population there is called upon to show economy in the use of the resource and to avoid any waste. Certain autonomous municipalities in the Province of Luxembourg are in the vigilance phase (Editor’s note: Bouillon, Habay, Léglise, Rouvroy and Gouvy)”, we indicate to the drought unit, which reminds us that moderate use of water enables water to be saved in the event of subsequent deterioration of the situation.
