The servers are to be shut down for around three hours. After the work, an update will be available for download that will bring the new content into the game. However, the first season will not start until July 20 at 7 p.m. German time.

Seasonal content requires players to create a new seasonal character, starting at level 1. However, the previously revealed Sanctuary card and unlocked Lilith Altars will be carried over into the Season. However, hardcore and non-hardcore characters are strictly separated. The unlocked bonuses of a hardcore character also only apply to hardcore characters during the season and not to characters that play the normal mode and vice versa.
The first season of Diablo 4 (buy now €289.98) revolves around collecting various evil hearts. These come up with different bonuses and can be socketed in rings and amulets. There are also new enemies created by Lilith’s corruption. Players must team up with former Priest Cormond to uncover the source of these abominations.
