Episode 3193 “Farewell with Cat” airs Wednesday, July 19 on Br-TV. It will be the last reunion with Michael and his wife Margot as they leave Lansing. In order to give the spouses a nice farewell, their friends actively support them in the move and give them a special farewell gift.

But why does actor Gerd Lohmeyer stop following 14 years? He spoke regarding this a few weeks ago in an interview with “Hello Munich”. The conversation was actually regarding the play “And it works,” for which Gerd Lohmeyer was on stage. The “Dahoam is Dahoam” star played a pensioner who struggles with moving into the retirement home. According to the 78-year-old, he wanted to encourage viewers to leave.

That’s why he’s always trying out something new himself. He started dancing Butoh seven years ago. “This is a Japanese dance form that is still possible in old age. That’s how I perform in my group.”

“Aside from Butoh, what other roles do you have to play?” the interviewer then asked. Maybe an allusion to “Dahoam is Dahoam”? “Must? Actually not at all. I would have liked to have played Nathan in ‘Nathan the Wise’. In the wonderful play ‘Vögel’ in the Metropol I enjoy having a similar narrative as the ‘Ring Parable’ is.”

But can he reconcile all this with the role of “Gerstl”? “That is indeed a problem. After six years there as a guest and more than six years in the main cast, I’m slowly thinking regarding quitting. I still have enough plans of my own that I wouldn’t normally come up with when I’m busy with the rotation,” revealed Lohmeyer. The interview took place in January 2023. Now the time has come, Loymeyer actually leaves “Dahoam is Dahoam”. So the real reason seems to be that the actor wants to make time for other heart projects.

According to his own statement, however, he will not sit back and relax. “No. I don’t know satisfaction in this form. I’m happy when something works. But then the next questions immediately pierce you.”
