Four high-pressure fog nozzles are installed on the newly designed market square. Twelve of the high-pressure atomizers were also installed in the park on the new town hall square in good time before the start of the summer heat. The water mist cools the air or the skin of all park visitors.
How does it all work? A high-pressure pump presses the water at 85 bar through pipelines into a pipe with a diameter of one millimeter. When it opens, the water is finely atomized in five nozzles with a diameter of 0.4 mm.
The operation is highly sensitive in terms of hygiene: the system works with drinking water and is chemical-free and is therefore absolutely harmless for anyone who would like to cool off with the mist nozzles in the park. The water consumption is 4.5 liters per hour. The system cleans and flushes itself daily in two automated processes. The system switches on and off either automatically depending on the outside temperature or manually depending on the humidity. On hot days, you can now cool off at Rathausplatz with high-pressure mist nozzles.
