Russia on track to meet oil export cuts in August by Reuters

(Archyde.com) – Russia’s Kommersant newspaper reported on Monday that Russia is on its way to implementing a plan to cut oil exports in August by 500,000 barrels per day.

The newspaper said that Russian oil exports by sea may drop to between 2.9 and three million barrels per day in August, mainly due to a reduction in exports through Russian ports in the Baltic Sea.

Kommersant quoted two sources as saying that the reductions came as a result of adjusting the export schedule for the third quarter of state-owned pipeline operator Transneft (TADAWUL:).
