Antstream Arcade will soon offer over a thousand retro games on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s the first competing cloud gaming service to come to the Xbox ecosystem.
If you are a fan of retro games and you have an Xbox, you will soon be able to enjoy it to the full. Antstream Arcade, the famous cloud gaming service that brings together more than 1,300 retro games, coming soon to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Already present on our computers (Mac, PC, Linux) and our televisions (Android TV, Firestick, Samsung), the app is entering game consoles through the front door. According to Antstream, all titles will be playable without downloading or installing. Better still, the service promises the arrival of new titles every week. In its catalog, we find a bunch of classics like Metal Slug or Mortal Kombat. Mostly very old games though.
At the same time, the company clarifies that it does not just provide the original games to players. Thus, the developers of Antstream have fun creating or modifying certain elements of the games to offer new challenges. Multiplayer will also be at the center of the experience, since it will be possible to challenge each other in a duel or participate in tournaments.
The precise date of arrival of the service still remains a mystery. However, subscriptions are already available for pre-order. To take advantage of it, count regarding 26 € per year. A derisory sum in view of the size of the catalog.
