It happened in the Sucre municipality in the entity.
Some 14 engines that would be used for illegal mining were seized by members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) in Bolívar state.
They were all buried in an area where they extracted minerals, as can be seen in a video published by General Domingo Hernández Lárez, strategic commander of the Fanb.
He indicated that it happened in the “gallery forests of the Sucre municipality” and that they were used for environmental destruction.
“Environmental protection is a citizen’s duty, and that of the Fanb is to guarantee territorial integrity and environmental conservation,” added the uniformed officer, who was recently ratified in his position.
The military remains in the area with operations that seek to dismantle the structures for illegal actions in forest reserves and national parks.
