China will become one of the first countries to legalize the technology that powers popular services like ChatGPT. The country’s internet watchdog has drawn up a list of rules, and one of the prerequisites is that AI providers conduct security reviews and register their algorithms with the government.
The US government is also investigating the maker of ChatGPT, as the Federal Trade Commission is examining OpenAI’s handling of personal data as well as the tool’s potential to give users inaccurate information.
Indian tech giant Wipro, which provides software services, announced that all of its 250,000 employees will receive training on how to use artificial intelligence responsibly.
