The SPÖ is moving more and more to the left

Vienna (OTS) – “The right to vote at federal level is a citizenship right. I say very clearly: There will be no change with us, because there are no equal rights without the same obligations. Such left-wing politics must not erode the good of citizenship. We must not forget one thing: the right to vote for foreigners also means foreign influence on politics in Austria. The renewed demand is clearly the reaction of the SPÖ to the loss of votes under the chairman Andreas Babler, it’s all regarding party interests. In addition, this requirement disregards the case law of the Constitutional Court”, the General Secretary of the People’s Party replied to the “Kurier-Interview” with Nikolaus Kowall.

“It seems as if the line of social democracy is only determined by left-wing and self-proclaimed ‘advisers’,” said Stocker and continued: “Even with the announcement that a gross salary of 7,000 euros (around 4,100 euros net) no longer belongs to a family to the middle class, but to the ‘upper five percent’, it becomes clear once more how much this party has lost the feeling for the Austrians. Because according to current statistics, a family with children and such an income is definitely not in the top ‘five percent’. And so it is also clear who Babler wants to hit with his left-wing politics and the burden packages: the middle class.”

“One thing is now becoming clearer: the SPÖ is moving more and more to the left, it doesn’t have people’s concerns in mind and prefers to take care of the legalization of cannabis and 100 km/h,” Stocker concludes.
