What Soviet cartoon character do you have a lot in common with?

Who has not watched a Soviet cartoon regarding the adventures of a charming bear named Winnie the Pooh and his friends – Piglet, Rabbit, Eeyore Donkey and others? The domestic film adaptation of A. Milne’s book “Winnie the Pooh and All, All, All” appeared later than the American one, and Soviet animators sought to get as far as possible from those images that were created abroad. Winnie the Pooh turned out to be a fluffy, dandelion-like bear with slightly wrinkled ears and a funny walk. As it turned out, it appeared due to the mistake of the animator, who mixed up the right and left legs of the character. The result was so interesting that it was decided not to redo anything. The original sketches of Piglet have been preserved – the piglet was round, without a pronounced waist and chin. Subsequently, his image changed significantly – Winnie the Pooh’s best friend became thin, with a thin neck and legs, and the striped jumpsuit was replaced with a checkered one. It is curious that the Soviet animators did not have copyrights for the film adaptation of Milne’s book, so “Winnie the Pooh” did not participate in various international competitions and festivals.
