Hwang Jae-won, a defender from Daegu FC, joined the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games soccer team in September. On the other hand, Ko Jae-hyeon, a second-line offensive resource who had high expectations, was left with regret as he might not make it to the final list.

Hwang Jae-won, who has been in charge of the side as a main defender in Daegu, among the 22 players announced at the soccer hall on the followingnoon of the 14th, announced the final list of the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games men’s soccer team.

Hwang Jae-won, who joined Daegu in 2022 at the age of 19 and stepped on the professional stage from the opening game, participated in 56 professional games and recorded 2 points and 8 assists, 2022 and May this year, twice this month. He is a promising young player in the league enough to win the Young Player of the Year Award.

Hwang Jae-won, who was first selected for the under-23 national team in September of last year, has been continuously selected by coach Hwang Seon-hong since then, raising expectations for the Taegeuk mark.
