By the lake, you cannot miss the two Swiss Re buildings. There is the historic, noble stone building with a large portico surmounted by two lions. And the “new”, “Swiss Re Next”, a glazed vessel surveying the port of Enge. But that’s not all. Next to the duo, three huge cranes are busy around the “Lake” site, the future flagship of the “Swiss Re Campus”, the international headquarters of the Swiss reinsurer. The end of the work is scheduled between 2025 and 2026. Of the red building built under the leadership of the prestigious architects Meili & Peter, employees should however only see the facade. At a town hall (important information session for all staff) organized on Tuesday evening, the firm informed its employees that the structure would eventually be rented out to outsiders. It was to accommodate more than 1000 employees.
