The World of Assassination trilogy has been a big hit for the Hitman series and IO Interactive in general, and the conclusion of this stealth franchise was officially confirmed when the developers released the final content following the release of Hitman 3 earlier this year. and renamed it “Hitman: World of Assassination”. Soon, this pack will also be available in physical format, but on a single platform.
Here’s what we know
IO Interactive has announced a collaboration with Solutions 2 Go to release a physical version of Hitman: World of Assassination exclusively on PlayStation 5. The release is scheduled for August 25 and will include, in addition to the game itself, a set of three maps collectible artwork depicting locations from across the trilogy: the ICA training facility in the first Hitman, the Miami racetrack in Hitman 2, and the Dubai skyscraper in Hitman 3.
Additionally, a very limited number of postcards signed by the IO Interactive development team will be included in the physical copies – 50 for Europe and 50 for the Americas.
It’s not yet known if IO Interactive plans to release a physical version of the game for the Xbox Series or previous-gen consoles.
Either way, PlayStation 5 owners will do well to keep an eye out for this news, especially as it brings together all three Hitman campaigns into one pack.
