In November 2022, the space telescope revealed the once-hidden features of the protostar in dark cloud L1527, providing insight into the beginnings of a new star. These blazing clouds in the star-forming region of Taurus are only visible in infrared light, making them an ideal target for James Webb’s camera. — © NASA, ESA, CSA, STScI, Joseph DePasquale (STScI), Alyssa Pagan (STScI), Anton M.
