The reserve assets of the Central Bank of Turkey rose by $1.83 billion in the first week of July, to $110.41 billion, compared to the end of June, according to weekly monetary and banking data issued by the bank on Thursday.
The reserve assets of the Turkish Central Bank include foreign exchange and gold reserves.
The total reserves of the Central Bank of foreign exchange amounted to 69 billion and 836 million dollars, by the end of July 7.
On the other hand, gold reserves until the end of the period amounted to regarding 40 billion and 580 million dollars.
Data from the World Gold Council indicate that Turkey ranks 13th in the world, as the largest holder of yellow metal reserves, with a total of 428.4 tons.
