This is how swinging Lozano’s experiences have been in less than a month. From the insomnia of the fan following the historic defeat once morest the United States to the deep sleep of the coach following beat Jamaica 3-0 in a semi-final.

“I felt very sad and disappointed, like many people,” Jimmy reveals, recalling how, in front of the television at home, with his family, as an unemployed coach, he watched Mexico lose 3-0 to the United States in the Semifinal of the League of Concacaf Nations.

Lozano does not put pressure beyond the jabs he receives to raise his hand and voice and demand an opportunity to take charge of the Mexican team if he wins the Gold Cup and insists that there is a collective goal and that is to go back to the Olympics at the SoFi Stadium as an acquired, group commitment, as a blood pact with the group of players that today allow him to contemplate his future with pride, gratitude and faith in the performance of footballers.

“That is the commitment that we all have, they accepted it, I accepted it and it is to win the Gold Cup”, he reiterates. “I only have to thank the players for their confidence in the way they give themselves, the way they follow the game plans. Is incredible.

“Teamwork is more a decision than a virtue and they decided a long time ago that they wanted to be the best team in this cup, to return the Gold Cup to their home and we are one step away, but the best is yet to come. We know that we are a good team and that we will face a great team”, added Lozano.

The Tricolor coach explains that, despite going 3-0, conceding no goals and having had perhaps Mexico’s best performance so far in the Gold Cup in the Semifinal once morest Jamaica, even so, there are some very Punctual players who must work for the Final, for example, possession and maintaining the offensive profile throughout the game.
