Samsung Galaxy A34: Heavy Gaming Test
Asphalt 9
The first game analyzed was Asphalt 9, with medium graphics the Galaxy A34 manages to reach an average of 30FPS with 100% stability. It didn’t go beyond that range of frames, unfortunately. Regarding battery life, you will be able to run the game for 5h30min. The Galaxy M54, its competitor had the same performance, 30 frames with 100% stability, both receive the RODA seal for Asphalt 9.
Call of Duty
The second game tested was Call of Duty Mobile in Battle Royale mode, with the graphics at medium and the maximum possible frames, the Galaxy A34 reached the mark of 40 frames with 100% stability, spiked. It didn’t go beyond that range either. He does 5h30min of autonomy. The Galaxy M54 once more had the exact same performance, hitting 40FPS with 100% stability. Wheel stamp for both smartphones in Call of Duty Mobile.
Diablo Immortal
The third game on the list is Immortal. On Diablo with the medium settings, we only had 30FPS with 100% stability. It doesn’t go beyond that in the game. The expected autonomy is 5h50min. The Galaxy M54 went further, hitting 56FPS with 99% stability on Diablo. Wheel Seal for the Galaxy A34 and Flat Wheel for the M54.
eFootball
In our favorite football game, the Galaxy A34 did what was expected, 60FPS with 100% stability with graphics quality at medium. The expected autonomy is, amazingly, 6 hours. On the Galaxy M54, we had identical performance once more, 60fps with 100% stability. Smooth Wheel Seal for both smartphones.
Fortnite
The A34 did well in Fortnite, despite the minimum hitting only 13FPS, it was the average, in which the more time we spent playing that it stabilized. It gave 55FPS on average, with gameplay having frame drops. The M54 had a much higher minimum, with 31FPS and an average of 43FPS. That is, when it chokes, the Galaxy M54 will choke less.
Free Fire
In Free Fire, with medium graphics, the Galaxy A34 did what is expected of an intermediate cell phone in Free Fire. 60FPS with 100% stability. Autonomy of 5h30min. The Galaxy M54 also boasted free fire with 60fps and 100% stability, no wonder. Flat Wheel Seal for both cell phones.
Genshin Impact
Now the bug catches up, it’s Genshin who separates the wheat from the chaff, the Galaxy A34 suffered with the gameplay, hitting an average of 37FPS with 87% stability. Made 3h40min of allotted time to play. The Galaxy M54 went a step further with 40FPS and 93% stability, both receive a RODA badge only. Remember, we played with medium graphics.
Mortal Kombat
In Mortal Kombat, one of the few games on our list that cross the 60FPS barrier was where we might explore this Galaxy A34 a little further, reaching an average of 90FPS, with 87% stability. The expected battery is 3h35min to play this game. The Galaxy M54 did 82FPS, but hit 99% stability, that is, if we put the numbers side by side, the M54 was more stable. Competitive Wheel Seal for both.
PUBG Mobile
In PUBG Mobile, with graphics on medium, and FPS settings high configured by GFX Tools, the A34 did 79FPS with 99% stability. Very nice to play with this framerate. Autonomy of 3h30min. The Galaxy M54 did much the same. With 86FPS and 100% stability, the two did well, receiving a Competitive Roda seal for this game.
Tower of Fantasy
Tower of Fantasy, which is a good game to analyze, as it exceeds 60fps and still sucks from the cell phone, the Galaxy A34 did just 44FPS with 81% stability. Autonomy of 3h20min. The Galaxy M54 went further, hitting 66FPS with 89% stability. The M54 receives the Competitive Roda seal, while the A34 only receives a Roda seal.
Farlight 84
The extra game is Farlight 84, because this cell phone deserves an extra game. In the game, which is one of the best fun experiences in battle royale, the Galaxy A34 averaged 74 FPS with 95% stability, a very good result.
Temperature
Playing Call of Duty Mobile in Battle Royale mode for 1 hour, the Galaxy A34 surprised. He achieved the feat of heating only 8ºC, going from 23ºC to 31ºC. And during the one-hour game, he lost only 10% of the battery, which guarantees the good autonomy that we showed earlier.
Conclusion
The icy Galaxy A34 with its MediaTek processor is not bad when it comes to games, in addition to not heating up, it will provide a long time away from the battery, but only in games that don’t pull so many frames. Games with a higher framerate are the ones that drain the battery the most and in this case, the autonomy never reached close to 4 hours, that is, every hour on average more than 25% is spent in games with higher frame rates than than 60FPS.
Who is looking for a smartphone to play and has less than R$ 1500 to spend, the Galaxy A34 is there to fill that gap, and currently it is my indication of purchase for games for this range of 1300 to 1500 reais.
Finally, it ranks 15th today in our Roda Liso ranking, beating the POCO X5 and Moto G73 in the intermediate line, losing to the A54 and M54 also from Samsung.
