Winston-Salem.- A 20-year-old Hispanic man was seriously wounded by a gunshot Saturday night in Winston-Salem.
The Police Department reported that the attacker, identified as Uriel Olmedo Salinaswas attacked at 2804 Patria Street.
Officers responding to the shooting reported that the victim had been transported to Atrium Health Baptist Medical Center.
“Uriel Olmedo Salinas is being treated for a gunshot wound to the neck and is currently in critical condition,” the police said in their report.
The first investigations showed that the Hispanic was shot following a verbal altercation with another man.
They also specified that the case is being actively investigated by members of the Field Services Office/Patrol Division.
