During a meeting between Lebanese government officials and officials of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), the Lebanese side demanded that a procedure be initiated to draw the land borders with Israel, the newspaper reported. Saudi Arabian Asharq Al-Awast on Monday. The drawing of the land borders would take place following that of the maritime borders established under the Lapid government.

According to the Saudi newspaper, the Lebanese stressed that they had no indication of the possibility of an escalation in the region, neither from the Israeli side, nor from the side of Hezbollah.

Moreover, and according to the Lebanese site lebanon24, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the interim government, Abdallah Bou Habib, affirmed that “the proposal to delimit the land borders in the south is serious”, considering that “it is the solution to the different problems on the southern borders, and that does not mean normalization”.

Bou Habib said in an interview with “mtv” that “there are 13 points of contention on the border with Israel, there would be an agreement on 7 points as well as the remaining six are a point of contention”.

The Israeli channel N12 reported last week that Israel had sent a message to the Lebanese Shiite movement asking it to remove its tents, installed in Israeli territory.

The day before, the member of Hezbollah in the Lebanese parliament, Mohammed Raad, had signified his refusal to evacuate the tents, as requested by the UN. “If the enemy doesn’t want war, keep calm,” he said.
