South American teams from Rainbow Six Siege face each other in the last qualifying round of the START League
Tournament for amateur and semi-professional teams in the region (Liga START) enters its decisive phase and is a great opportunity for players and teams that aim to enter the competitive scene of the game once and for all; interested parties can register for free up to one hour before the start of the first round matches
This Wednesday, July 12, at 7 pm, the last qualifying stage of Liga START begins, a South American Rainbow Six Siege tournament open to amateur and semi-professional teams from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay . The competition has a total prize pool of US$ 45,000 (approximately R$ 220,491.00) and those interested in entering the dispute can register for free through the Challenger Mode website up to one hour before the start of the matches.
League for Semi-Pros and Amateurs
The Rainbow Six Siege Start League is the main opportunity for non-professional teams to foster the competitive and tactical development of their young talents in the game’s Esports scene. The final of the competition will be held in person at the WEBEDIA Arena, in São Paulo, providing a complete experience to the teams that manage to reach that stage.
In addition to this last qualifier, the teams already registered in the competition were able to add points over the three previous stages, which rewarded the top 16 teams with points that are maintained for the following stages. Now, the ten teams with the best score at the end of this fourth stage move on to Phase 2, in which there are six other teams previously classified via open qualifiers or performance in other tournaments – such as the first three stages of the 2023 Women’s Circuit, which guaranteed vacancies to the women’s teams of W7M Esports and Black Dragons.
Provisional leadership in the Start League
At this moment, following three qualifiers, the Dromedalho team is at the top of the classification, followed by Retired & Pensioners, who were the winners of the third stage.
After Phase 2, eight teams qualify for Phase 3 and join eight other teams, guaranteed this stage by their performances in previous championships. The Viúvas SN team is one of the highlights, since it was in 4th place in the LCQ, which awarded the last Brazilian spot for the Major in Copenhagen, that year. In addition to them, well-known teams from Tier 2 are already guaranteed: Bubupédia, Bagres Team, Cleyton’s, Updated Team, Enimigos do Soldo Nerds e Atletas and Hasbulla’s. At the end of Phase 3, the eight best classifieds play the Final Phase of Liga START at the end of July.
