One thousand 176 applicants to enter the Human Medicine Academic Unit of the Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAZ) have been rejected, because the highest house of studies has to guarantee a job position for each one of them, reported Juan Armando Flores from the Torre, coordinator of Health Sciences who emphasized that, of a total of 1,400 applicants, only 224 are accepted.
While, with regard to the area of Health Sciences made up of Medicine, Nursing, Nutrition, Dentistry, Chemist, Pharmacobiologist, Nutrition, Public Health, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Physiotherapy, of 2,450 aspiring students, there are 1,500 accepted.

“We have a large number of students not accepted,” acknowledged the coordinator of Health Sciences, but assured that this does not limit “because the University is open doors, since there are educational programs that have room for students.”
Regarding the rejection of applicants to enter Human Medicine, he stated that there has been no growth in the Health Sector in the state, in such a way that when there are not enough jobs, students have to be sent to different states of the Republic to guarantee those places.
Those who are not accepted into the Human Medicine Academic Unit are offered the option of entering other Academic Units where there is space for them to study.

In this sense, he explained that a total of 667 spaces are being offered in the different areas of Health Sciences, where each of the applicants can develop their skills.
He explained that the exams are administered by Ceneval, through the school services department, and are published on different platforms.
