According to the latest study from the site iSeeCars, used electric vehicle prices fell nearly 30 percent in June, led by substantial declines in the values of Tesla,
“Used car prices in general are stabilizing,” said Karl Brauer, executive analyst at iSeeCars. “But there has been a massive drop in used EV values this year, with bigger drops each month and no indication of any bottom in sight.”
iSeeCars analyzed more than 1.8 million used cars between June 2022 and June 2023 to identify which models have the biggest price drops. The Tesla Model 3 had the biggest price drop in the past 12 months, down 30.5 percent ($16,258), while the average used car was down just 3.6 percent ($1,237).
“Used EV prices, led by Tesla, simply collapsed in 2023, falling faster and faster every month since January,” said Karl Brauer, executive analyst at iSeeCars.
