The amounts of the fines of the Highway Police rose once more following the increase in the price of gasoline in Córdoba, as published this Friday in the Official Gazette.
Provincial Traffic Law 8,560 establishes the use of Fixed Units (UF), which are equivalent to the lowest retail price corresponding to one liter of super gasoline.

According to the latest reports from the sector of the Federation of Fuel and Allied Retailers of the Center, the value of a liter of super gasoline as of June 5 was ($234.80.
Light fines. For minor infractions, drivers face penalties ranging from 20 to 100 UF (loss of 0 to 2 points). From now on they will be between $4,696 and $23,480. Example: driving while smoking.
Serious infractions. The parameter goes from 100 to 200 UF (loss of 2 to 5 points), they will cost between $23,480 and $46,960. Examples: not having the lights on.
Very serious. They are equivalent to 200 to 400 UF (loss of 5 to 20 points), they will cost between $46,960 and $93,920. Cases: crossing red lights; driving the wrong way or exceeding the speed limit.
Maxims. The maximum penalties are those between 1,200 and 2,000 UF. Prices range between $281,760 and $469,600.
