Allegations were raised a year ago
Mwape has been the Zambian women’s coach since May 2018. The team finished third at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations. Similar allegations regarding the coach were made the rounds a year ago. The Zambian Football Association responded at the time: “Although we have not received any official complaints from anyone regarding the allegations, we believe these allegations are very serious and have launched an investigation into the matter.”
The investigations have not yet yielded any results. In the meantime, FIFA has intervened in this regard. According to The Guardian, FIFA declined to comment on the ongoing investigation.
